What kind of research is this? Starting March 1 at 10:00 AM local time, a new ticket will be available for purchase in the shop. It costs $4.99 and unlocks a Timed Research. The ticket will be available in the shop until June 1 at 10:00 AM. It will thus be available during the new season “Rising Heroes”.
The special thing about this research is that it has only one chapter with 6 tasks, and these can be completed quickly. As a reward, you can customize your avatar’s appearance with new clothing and receive a Melmetal that knows the new move Double Iron Bash. This is what the trainers say: The ticket is actively discussed in the community (via reddit). Essentially, the advice is: Wait before buying. In the future, Melmetal will be able to learn the special move Double Iron Bash outside of this research with a TM.
When this point will be reached in the future is unclear. However, there are already event leaks for the coming weeks. One of them mentions that the event starting on March 21 will bring Melmetal with the Double Iron Bash move. Keep in mind that this leak is not confirmed. However, you can still wait to purchase the ticket. If there’s no Melmetal at the event, interested players can still buy the ticket.
So make your purchasing decision more dependent on whether you are interested in clothing styled after Professor Willow.
