Whoever reaches max level 50 in Pokémon GO unlocks a special research. We will show you the challenging tasks and rewards.
What kind of research is this? For many trainers, the main goal in Pokémon GO is to reach the maximum level. Since the big Beyond update, the highest level in the game is now 50. Previously, it was level 40.
The path to the maximum level is arduous and involves a lot of experience points and tasks. A few trainers reached level 50 in February 2021 and show how it continues. By reaching this milestone, a new special research is unlocked.
Special research for level 50
These are the tasks: Once you reach level 50 in Pokémon GO, you will receive a message from Professor Willow. He has come up with a few tasks for you to complete for him. As a reward, you will receive stardust, items, and encounters with Pokémon.

Level 50: Special research 1/4:

| Land 500 great curveball throws | 5,000 stardust |
| Visit PokéStops for 15 consecutive days | 10x star piece |
| Land 5 fantastic throws in a row | 5,000 stardust |
Level reward: If you complete all tasks, you will receive 10,000 stardust and an encounter with Icognito upon completion.
Level 50: Special research 2/4:

| Hatch 50 eggs | 5,000 stardust |
| Win 15 trainer battles in the GO Battle League | 10 candy |
| Catch 5,000 Pokémon | 5,000 stardust |
Level reward: If you complete all tasks, you will receive 10,000 stardust and 10 premium raid passes upon completion.
Level 50: Special research 3/4:

| Earn 50 candies by walking with your buddy | 5,000 stardust |
| Evolve 50 Pokémon | 10x incense |
| Win 50 raids | 5,000 stardust |
Level reward: If you complete all tasks and claim the corresponding rewards, you will additionally receive 10,000 stardust and 10 super incubators.
Level 50: Special research 4/4:

Level reward: If you complete all tasks and claim the corresponding rewards, you will additionally receive 10 XL candy, an avatar pose, and an encounter with Mewtwo.
How to reach level 50?
This is new: Trainers in Pokémon GO now have to complete tasks to receive a level-up. Before the big Beyond update, you only had to collect experience points. The tasks for this are now new.
