What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday, a Spotlight Hour starts in Pokémon GO. In the evening, the event runs for an hour and makes a selected Pokémon significantly more common in the wild. At the beginning of each month, the developers decide which Pokémon will be in the spotlight on Tuesdays.
Several bonuses are provided to enhance the event. Today, you will encounter Trevenant during the Spotlight Hour, and there is a bonus for double candy. We show you all the details here.
Spotlight Hour on October 18 – Start, Bonuses, Shiny
When does it start? The Spotlight Hour begins at the usual time of 6:00 PM. The event will end again at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? During the event, you will encounter Trevenant nearly everywhere in the wild. If you light a lure, it will also attract the event Pokémon more frequently.
You will receive double the amount of candy for catching Pokémon. A good bonus if you are still on the way from level 41 to 50.

Is the Spotlight Hour today worth it? Unfortunately, neither Trevenant nor its evolution Trevenant are interesting in trainer battles or raids. The two attackers cannot keep up with other ghost-type Pokémon. The event is especially worthwhile for collecting experience points.
