What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, a Spotlight Hour takes place in Pokémon GO. The one-hour event focuses on a selected Pokémon that you can find in the wild during the event time. A great opportunity to collect candies for the species.
Today, the Pokémon Puppance, a Ground and Psychic type from the third generation, is in the spotlight and is accompanied by an XP bonus.
Spotlight Hour on September 14th – Start, Bonuses and Shiny
When does it start? As you may know from these events, it starts at 6:00 PM. Then the Spotlight Hour begins for you. It will be active for one hour and should end around 7:00 PM.
These are the bonuses: From the start of the event, spawns in the wild will turn into Puppance spawns. You will find the Pokémon at almost every corner. If you use incense, the incense spawns will also turn into Puppance.
You will also receive double experience points for catching Pokémon. So if you are still on the level path from 41 to 50 in Pokémon GO, you can earn important XP today.

Is the Spotlight Hour with Puppance worth it?
How strong is it? Puppance itself does not have much to offer. Neither in PvP nor in PvE. Its evolution, Lepumentas, is also not much better. In PvE during raids, it is hardly usable. In PvP, it is only a weak alternative in the Great League. However, there are far better candidates.
Who should participate? The event is worthwhile for you today especially if you want to collect candies and XP. Perhaps you want to test your Shiny chances. But you won’t get a strong attacker today.
