What is a Spotlight Hour? This event takes place every Tuesday and puts a Pokémon in the spotlight. There is also an additional bonus to attract trainers.
This week, a Hat Pikachu is once again in the spotlight. While there was already a Hat Pikachu last week, there is a different specimen this week.
All Info on the Spotlight Hour with Hat Pikachu
When does the Spotlight Hour start? It starts today at 6:00 PM local time. The event will run for exactly one hour and ends at 7:00 PM.
What are the bonuses? This week, the Pikachu with the original cap will appear. The cap is typically worn by Ash in the anime.
Additionally, there will be double candies when catching Pokémon. So you will receive 2 Pikachu candies instead of just one candy.
Is the Pikachu available as Shiny? Yes! Pikachu with the original cap also appears as Shiny. However, this is not the first time it has been available as Shiny.
On April 1, 2019, there was already a Pikachu from the snapshot. You could get the shiny for 2 days. After that, the Pikachu was available for one more day at the Pikachu event.
Is the Shiny rare? So far, there have been only a few chances to get this Hat Pikachu. So anyone hunting for such Shinies will definitely have a great time at the event.

What happens next? This month, we cannot expect any further Hat Pikachu in the Spotlight Hour. However, two spooky Pokémon will appear in the spotlight in the coming weeks.
