What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, a Spotlight Hour kicks off in Pokémon GO. At the beginning of the month, the developers from Niantic determine which Pokémon will be in the spotlight for the events. For one hour, there will be tons of spawns of them.
Accompanying this is a bonus that is meant to enhance these events even more. Today, you will encounter Glibunkel and receive more XP. In the overview, we will show you all the details and whether the Spotlight Hour is worth it today.
Spotlight Hour on November 8th – Start, Bonuses, Shiny
When does the Spotlight Hour start? As usual, the event will kick off at 6:00 PM. After one hour, at 7:00 PM, it will end.
What bonuses are there? During the Spotlight Hour, you will encounter Glibunkel almost everywhere in the wild. If you activate incense, it will primarily attract the event Pokémon as well.
Additionally, there are double experience points (XP) for catching Pokémon. So make use of the time for many catches if you still need XP. Trainers on the way from 41 to 50 could benefit well from the event.

Is there shiny Glibunkel? Yes, you can catch shiny Glibunkel in Pokémon GO. With a bit of luck, you can also encounter them during the Spotlight Hour.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it today? Glibunkel itself is not particularly strong. However, its evolution Toxiquak can score as a raid attacker in the upper midfield and finds its niches.
Also, Toxiquak has good chances as a fighter in the Super League and Hyper League. The XP bonus may not be the most exciting, but it can help many trainers on their way to level 50.
