What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, a Spotlight Hour starts in Pokémon GO, highlighting a selected Pokémon. Niantic determines which Pokémon will be featured at the beginning of each month. This is accompanied by a bonus that affects XP, Stardust, or candies.
However, during today’s Spotlight Hour, not just one Pokémon is in focus, but rather five specimens. In line with the start of the Water Festival, these are Krabby, Kabuto, Krebscorps, Scampisto, and Krabbox. We will show you the details here.
Spotlight Hour on June 6th with Water Pokémon
When does it start? As you are already used to from the Spotlight Hours, it starts again today at 6:00 PM. The event is active for one hour and ends at 7:00 PM.
What bonuses are there? Almost everywhere in the wild, you will encounter Krabby, Kabuto, Krebscorps, Scampisto, and Krabbox. Normally, only one Pokémon is the focus during this type of event, but today there are five. If you want to increase your spawns, you can also light up some incense.
Additionally, you will receive three times the amount of experience points for catching Pokémon. Typically, Spotlight Hours only have double bonuses.

Which Shinys can you catch? The shiny forms of Krabby, Kabuto, Krebscorps, and Scampisto are active in Pokémon GO and can be caught by you. Only Krabbox’s shiny form is not yet activated, and you cannot catch it at the event.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it today? The greatest potential of the Pokémon can be found with Kingler if you want to use it as a glass cannon in raids. Krebutak can also be quite useful. However, the evolutions of the other Pokémon are not particularly noteworthy.
However, one should not overlook the significant XP bonus. For trainers on the way to level 50, this could be a strong boost.
