In the next Spotlight Hour, Golbit awaits you. The Ground-Ghost Pokémon comes from Generation 5 and can evolve into Golgantes.
Spotlight Hour on May 27 – Start and Bonuses
When does the Spotlight Hour start? The Spotlight Hour starts on Tuesday at 6:00 PM. It ends exactly 60 minutes later, at 7:00 PM.
What bonus is active? If you catch Pokémon during the event, you will receive double the amount of Stardust. It doesn’t matter which Pokémon you catch: the bonus applies to all Pokémon and not just Golbit.
Can you catch Shiny Golbit? Yes. The chance of a Shiny is not increased, but with a bit of luck, you can get it.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? If you still need Ghost attackers, then Golgantes could be an addition for you. Although the Pokémon is not the best Ghost attacker, it can be found in the list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
Golgantes can also be used in the battle league. Here, it performs reasonably well in both the Super and Hyper League. In both leagues, you should rely on the moveset Mud-Slap, Dark-Pulse, and Body-Slam.
The bonus from the event can also be used to snag some extra Stardust. If you use Star Pieces during the event, you can obtain 300 Stardust per Golbit catch.
