Today, on November 29, 2021, the final special raid hour with Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion will take place in Pokémon GO to conclude the Hoopa event. We at MeinMMO will show you the best counters to defeat them quickly.
What kind of raid hour is this? Those who regularly play Pokémon GO know that every Wednesday a special raid event takes place, during which you can battle legendary raid bosses in almost all arenas. During the Hoopa event, raid hours have also been occurring in recent days.
And today, on November 29, 2021, there will be another special raid hour before the Hoopa event finally ends. You will encounter Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion in level 5 raids during this time.

Is the raid hour worth it today?
How many CP do Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion have when caught? After the raid, you can encounter the three legendary Pokémon in the catch screen with the following CP:
- Cobalion: 1,649 CP – 1,727 CP or with cloudy or snowy weather 2,061 CP – 2,159 CP
- Terrakion: 2,026 CP – 2,113 CP or with (partial) cloudiness 2,533 CP – 2,641 CP
- Virizion: 1,649 CP – 1,727 CP or with sunny, clear, or cloudy weather 2,061 CP – 2,159 CP
If your monster has the maximum possible CP, it corresponds to an IV of 100%.
Are there shiny Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion? Yes, you may encounter all three in their shiny form with some luck.
How strong are they? Among the three legendary monsters, Terrakion stands out due to its strong attack and good stamina, which makes it one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO. It can also hold its own in the Master League.
Cobalion, on the other hand, can score points with its defensive stats. Due to its weaker attack, it is less suitable for raids. However, it is a solid candidate for the Master League (pvpoke.com).
Virizion also benefits from strong defense, but is somewhat weaker than Cobalion. For this reason, it is the weakest of the three legendary monsters. For raids and the PvP League, you should rely on other specimens.
Is the raid hour worth it? If you are looking for a strong attacker, you should definitely take advantage of this raid hour. Focus especially on Terrakion. But shiny hunters will also have plenty of opportunities today.
When these three monsters will return to raids is still unknown at this time. After today’s raid hour, you will encounter Cresselia in level 5 raids until December 1, 2021, at 10:00 AM local time.
Will you take part in today’s raid hour with Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion? What counters do you use? Feel free to share your thoughts here on MeinMMO in the comments and discuss with other trainers.
Is the Hoopa event not your thing at the moment? In December, a Community Day will come that brings you 25 Pokémon. We have looked at what they are.
