In Pokémon GO, trainers are complaining about current tasks during the cold season. What it’s all about, you’ll find out here.
In the current event Fairy Dreams
, there are two collector challenges where you have to collect certain Pokémon during the event. In one of the two challenges, you need to hatch Pokémon from 7 km eggs to successfully complete it. Additionally, the event also includes field research, where you need to hatch eggs to complete them.
To hatch the eggs, you need to walk a lot of kilometers. For this, you have to place the eggs in incubators and then walk the required kilometers. This is disliked by many trainers during the current season, and they are complaining about it on Reddit.

Too many hatching tasks in the cold season
What is the problem? The tasks are only available during the limited-time events. If you do not complete the collector challenges in time, you have no more opportunity to complete them afterwards. Moreover, you do not see which Pokémon is in the egg before hatching. Aside from one incubator that is always available to you, additional ones must be purchased with PokéCoins.
If you rely solely on the PokéCoins you can earn in the game, it takes several days to gather enough coins to purchase an additional incubator. These can also be used only 3 times before being exhausted.

What does the community say? The community is annoyed that there are so many tasks requiring egg hatching right now in the cold season. If it were a different season or if the hatching distance were shorter, I wouldn’t mind
, writes the creator of the Reddit post.
Other trainers agree: It is -15 °F (-26 °C) where I live. Hatching will be a torture, if not impossible
. Another comment states: The best thing is to let go of the fear of missing out
.
What do you think about this? Are you as active in the game during winter as you are in summer? Do you also think that tasks requiring you to leave the house should be avoided in winter? Or do you have no problem covering long distances even in low temperatures? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments.
