What kind of event is this? A Spotlight Hour is a short, 60-minute event that takes place every Tuesday in Pokémon GO. During this time, there is at least one Pokémon in focus, along with a bonus.

When do the Spotlight Hours take place? The Spotlight Hour starts every Tuesday at 6:00 PM. It ends an hour later, at 7:00 PM. Which Spotlight Hours you can expect in November can be found in the table. All Pokémon that can also appear as Shiny are marked with an *.

Spotlight Hour on November 4, 2025
Which Pokémon is in focus? Weedle awaits you in the first Spotlight Hour of the new month. This Pokémon is from Generation 1 and has the Bug and Poison types. It can evolve into Kakuna and then into Beedrill.
What bonus is active? If you transfer Pokémon to the professor during the Spotlight Hour, you will receive double the amount of candy for it.
Is the event worth it? Weedle and its evolutions are not strong attackers. Only the Mega Evolution of Beedrill is an acceptable attacker.
You can take advantage of the event bonus if you need to make space in your Pokémon bag. This is particularly easy if you have already tagged the Pokémon you want to transfer with a tag.
Can you catch Shiny Weedle? Yes. With a bit of luck, you may also encounter the Shiny variant of Weedle.
Spotlight Hour on November 11, 2025
Which Pokémon is in focus? In this Spotlight Hour, you can encounter Foongus. This Pokémon has the Grass and Fairy types. It is from Generation 7 and can evolve into Amoonguss.
What bonus is active? Every Pokémon that you evolve during this Spotlight Hour will earn you double experience points.
Is the event worth it? Foongus and Amoonguss are not Pokémon you should plan for battles. Instead, focus on other Pokémon.
However, Foongus is one of the Pokémon that gives more Stardust when caught. A single capture of one specimen gives you a total of 500 Stardust. If you use a Star Piece, you will even receive 750 Stardust. You can use the event to earn some extra Stardust.
Additionally, you can use the event to evolve some Pokémon and thus gain more experience points.
Can you catch Shiny Foongus? Yes. The chance to find one is not increased compared to the other Spotlight Hours. However, with a bit of luck, you may still encounter a Shiny specimen.
Spotlight Hour on November 18, 2025
Which Pokémon is in focus? On November 18, you will find the Dark-Ghost Pokémon Sableye in the Spotlight Hour. It is from Generation 3 and has, apart from its Mega Evolution, no evolutionary stage.
What bonus is active? The amount of Stardust you receive for each catch is doubled during this Spotlight Hour.
Is the event worth it? Sableye is unsuitable for use in raids or the battle league. It is not one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
The Stardust bonus from the event can give you some additional Stardust. However, since Sableye only provides the regular amount per catch, you can only get 300 Stardust per catch with the combination of the bonus + Star Piece. Therefore, the Spotlight Hour on November 11, 2025, is more advantageous.
Can you catch Shiny Sableye? Yes, this Pokémon can also be encountered as Shiny.
Spotlight Hour on November 25, 2025
Which Pokémon is in focus? The last Spotlight Hour in November 2025 brings you Zurkitree. This Pokémon is from Generation 5 and has the Dark and Fighting types. It also has an evolution known as Irokex.
What bonus is active? If you catch Pokémon during this Spotlight Hour, you will earn double experience points for it.
Is the event worth it? Zurkitree and its evolution are also not particularly strong attackers. You should not use them in raids or the battle league.
If you want to gain some additional experience points, you can use the event to do so. By using Lucky Eggs, you can get four times the amount of experience points for each catch.
Can you catch Shiny Zurkitree? Yes. If you are lucky, you can catch the Shiny variant of Zurkitree.
