In Pokémon GO might soon feature two new special forms for the legendary Pokémon from the Sinnoh region.
This is the note: In the subreddit for Pokémon GO, user “2020Zombie” shared a screenshot from Pokémon GO version 0.291.0, showing the Pokédex entry for Dialga and Palkia. And there, where one could view the various forms of the Pokémon, two new lines of text were present:
- form_dialga_normal and form_dialga_origin for Dialga
- form_palkia_normal and form_palkia_origin for Palkia

As of now, the obviously unfinished lines are no longer displayed in the Pokédex – a sign that this was likely an unintentional display. However, the two forms are also mentioned with the update on the currently remaining Discord server of the data miners from Pokeminers.
Overall, the find gives other players hope that the two special forms of Palkia and Dialga could soon be introduced into the game.
What are these forms for Palkia and Dialga?
These are the forms: The “Origin” form is known as “Urform” in German. These forms for Palkia and Dialga first appeared as bosses in “Pokémon Legends: Arceus”.
These forms are regarded as the “true form” of the two Pokémon and somewhat resemble the creator Pokémon Arceus.
Dialga is the ruler over time:

How could this be implemented in Pokémon GO? This is still unclear, just like the timing for when the forms will enter the game. In Legends: Arceus, one could use the “Adamant Crystal” to perform the form change for Dialga, while the “White Crystal” was used for Palkia.
In Pokémon GO, there are currently various form-changing Pokémon, like Zygarde or other examples, where the form change is handled differently. Here, it remains to be seen how this will ultimately look in Pokémon GO.
When will they come? For now, one can only speculate about that. Recent rumors suggested that a Sinnoh tour might be coming in the next few months, which would align with the release. However, nothing official is known yet. After the Kanto-, Johto- and Hoenn tours in recent years, it would at least fit.
