In Pokémon GO the Pioneer 40 Challenge has started. You will be rewarded with XP, Pokémon encounters, Stardust, and items. We show you all the tasks and rewards in this guide.
What kind of research is this? On the evening of November 30, 2020, the Pioneer 40 Challenge began in Pokémon GO. This happened around the same time as the big “GO Beyond” update, which also started that evening.
If you do not see this research on your account, it is because you have not yet reached level 40. It will be unlocked for you once you reach level 40 before the end of the year.
This research is available to you until December 31, 2020, at 11:59 PM.
Pioneer 40 Guide – What’s in it?
We show you here on MeinMMO all the tasks and rewards that the new time-limited research for Pokémon GO brings.
The research is divided into 4 chapters, each with three quests, rewarding you with exciting Pokémon, important items, experience points, and Stardust.
Pioneer 40 Step 1/4

| Use 10 Power-Ups on Pokémon | 1,000 Stardust |
| Catch 15 Pokémon | 3x Lure Module |
| Land 5 great throws | 1,000 XP |
Level Reward: If you successfully complete all tasks, you will receive 1,000 Stardust, an encounter with Geronimatz, and 1,000 XP.
Pioneer 40 Step 2/4

| Catch 15 different species of Pokémon | 1,000 Stardust |
| Send 10 Pokémon | 1 Unova Stone |
| Use 15 Razz Berries to catch Pokémon | 1,000 XP |
Level Reward: If you successfully complete all tasks, you will receive 1,000 Stardust, 3 Premium Battle Passes, and 1,000 XP.
Pioneer 40 Step 3/4

| Land 3 excellent Curveball throws | 1,000 Stardust |
| Win 3 Raids | 1 Sinnoh Stone |
| Give your buddy 10 treats | 1,000 XP |
Level Reward: If you successfully complete all tasks, you will receive 1,000 Stardust, 3 Super Incubators, and 1,000 XP.
Pioneer 40 Step 4/4

Level Reward: If you successfully complete all tasks, you will receive 5,000 Stardust, an encounter with Flapteryx, and a Garados hat.
