In Pokémon GO, an the beginning of the week an important setting for a raid Pokémon was forgotten. Find out which one here.
What is it about? Since the beginning of this week, Boreos is again available as a 5*-raid in Pokémon GO. The legendary Pokémon from Generation 5 can currently be found in its Therian form. As in most raids, you also have the chance to encounter Boreos in its shiny form once you’ve successfully defeated it – theoretically. Because Niantic unfortunately forgot to activate the setting that allows Boreos to appear as shiny.
Apology from Niantic and compensation for affected players
What is the problem? Due to Niantic forgetting to activate this setting, it has not been possible to encounter the shiny form of Boreos in raids from the beginning of the week until today. You have therefore not been able to obtain this legendary Pokémon in raids until today.
What does Niantic say about it? Niantic has now noticed the problem and corrected the mistake. As of this morning, it is again possible for you to encounter Boreos as a shiny Pokémon in raids. At the same time, Niantic apologizes for this error and promises that affected trainers will be compensated.

On X (formerly Twitter), they write: Trainers, Shiny Boreos could not be found in raids at the beginning of this week. This issue has been resolved, and it is now available. We will compensate affected players in the coming days. We apologize and thank you for your understanding.
