In Pokémon GO begins a new season called “Rising Heroes.” In a brief overview, we show you the most important content of the season.

Start of “Rising Heroes”: The new season starts on March 1, 2023, at 10:00 AM local time.
End of “Rising Heroes”: The season ends on June 1, 2023, at 10:00 AM local time.
The most important content of Season 10 in Pokémon GO
New features at the start:
- Gierspenst can now be caught in Pokémon GO and can be evolved. To do this, you must connect Pokémon GO with a Nintendo Switch with Scarlet & Violet. You can find detailed information about Gierspenst in Pokémon GO here.
- A new limited research starts in Pokémon GO, but you need to buy a ticket. The overview of the “Willow’s Outfit” research we show you here. Highlights include new clothing for your avatars and a Melmetal encounter.
- All Pokémon can now also be encountered in sizes XXS and XXL. This feature was already active before the season.
- Other monsters now spawn in the wild and in eggs. The exact spawn list we show you in the detailed overview of Rising Heroes.
- A new loading screen is active.
- A new research breakthrough is active. It either brings you Paras, Pinsir, Snorlax, Dratini, Coiffwaff, or Viscora.
- The PvP league is starting a new season, and the rank is reset.
Bonuses at the start of the new season:
- The damage from your own monsters in remote raids is increased
- Team GO Rocket appears more frequently at stops
- More stardust for victories against Team GO Rocket
- A new box is in the shop, which allows you to switch your team cheaply.
First events of the new season:
- The “Catching Art” event starts on March 5, 2023, as the first event of the new season.
- Boreos (Incarnate Form) and Mega Charizard Y return to raids from March 1 to March 8.

- The “Color Festival” runs from March 8 to March 14, but there is no information yet.
- From March 21 to March 29, the event “A Everyday Hero” with a Team GO Rocket takeover takes place. Further information is not available yet.
What else is happening in the season? Upcoming content
Some exciting content will not come directly at the start of the new season, but over time. This is also hinted at in the season trailer:

- The top raids return, featuring the new legendary monsters Regieleki and Regidrago.

It is still unclear:
- In the teaser for the season, three special trainers were hinted at, each with one Pokémon per team. It is possible that this is related to the event “An Everyday Hero & Team GO Rocket takeover.” This will take place from March 21. Whether it is about the 3 trainers is still speculation.
- Additionally, a tree-felling Pokémon was hinted at. It is currently not appearing yet in the season, but it could come.
