Mega-Legios is coming soon to Pokémon GO. The battle will be really tough. Fortunately, there is good news regarding Mega Levels.
What kind of event is this? Mega-Legios will have its own Super Mega Raid day. And as is the case with Super Mega Raids, you can expect a really difficult battle. More details below.
When does the event start? The Legios event will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM. It ends at 5:00 PM.
What bonuses does the day bring? A whole range:
- Mega-Legios appears in Super Mega Raids.
- The shiny chance for Legios increases if you catch it from Super Mega Raids.
- You will receive up to six free raid passes when spinning at the gym.
- The remote raid limit will be increased to 20 on the event day.
- A limited research will start that gives you a raid pass and a Flunkifer.
Event brings easier Mega Leveling
Change to Mega Levels: The Mega Levels will receive an update that allows you to use Mega Energy to rapidly increase the Mega Level of your Pokémon. The more often the Pokémon has Mega Evolved, the less energy the increase will cost. The exact procedure is still unknown.
Nonetheless: This could be a good way to improve your Mega Pokémon and gain more power in difficult battles. Especially in Super Mega Raids, powerful Megas are needed.
What is Mega-Legios?
Legios has been available in Pokémon GO for a long time and is a Fighting-type monster. It first appeared in the Pokémon games Sword and Shield. It is known for consisting of six small Pokémon that move in formation depending on what the leader of the group dictates.
Its Mega Evolution debuted as one of several new Mega Forms in the game Pokémon: Legends Z-A. Mega-Legios symbolizes the improved cohesion of the individual group members.
What distinguishes Super Mega Raids from regular Mega Raids?
Super Mega Raids require the cooperation of at least eight trainers to defeat the monster together. The difficulty lies in the additional shields that the raid boss receives. These can only be broken by Mega Pokémon. It is crucial to bring enough trainers with Mega Pokémon that can destroy sufficient shields.
