In Pokémon GO the global GO Fest takes place on July 13th and 14th, 2024. We at MeinMMO will keep you updated on both event days here in the live ticker and inform you about all current events in the game.
What event is it about? Every year, Pokémon GO hosts a global GO Fest. This spans an entire weekend and offers a lot of spawns and bonuses for you. It is one of the highlights of the game.
After trainers were able to participate in live events in Sendai, Madrid, and New York this year, the global GO Fest 2024 finally takes place this weekend. Trainers from around the world can participate regardless of location.
When does the GO Fest start? This year’s GO Fest takes place on July 13th and 14th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time each day.

The GO Fest 2024 is over
This year’s global GO Fest is now over, and the spawns and bonuses have disappeared. Only a few individual bonuses will still be available in the coming hours.
My second event day was just as good as the first started. I’m happy about a lot of shinies – a total of 22. I’m especially happy about my shiny Corasonn that I’ve been hoping for for ages. But I also finally welcomed monsters like Miniras, Krabbox, Piccolente, and Mangunior into my shiny collection. Maybe there will be a shiny Necrozma later. How did it go for you? Even though the GO Fest 2024 is about to be over for us in a few minutes, it is still active in other time zones. You can also continue to participate in raids against Necrozma via remote raid. Additionally, the following event bonuses will still be available until today, July 14, 2024, at 11:59 PM local time:
- No limit for remote raids
- guaranteed XL candies when trading (from Trainer Level 31)
The showcases will also run a bit longer and end at 8:00 PM local time. So you still have some time to place a large Necrozma.

The last minutes have begun – Take advantage of your bonuses now
The last 25 minutes of the event have begun. This is your last chance to benefit from the event bonuses before the event ends at 6:00 PM.
Ticket holders: If you have a ticket, you should take advantage of the following bonuses now, as long as you haven’t completed them yet:
- Open gifts from your friends, as the limit for that is increased until the event ends
- Put eggs in your incubators to benefit from half hatching distance
- Get a free raid pass from gyms, provided you haven’t exhausted the 9 additional passes today
- Conduct up to 6 special trades with your friends
All trainers: All players should also remember the following:
- Take snapshots of your buddy to secure special encounters with Pikachu
- Evolve selected Pokémon to get their respective event attacks

The global GO Fest starts tomorrow
The GO Fest is already at the starting line and will again have plenty of highlights for you. To make sure you don’t miss anything, we will be reporting here tomorrow, on July 13, 2024, starting at 8:30 AM and keeping an eye on the game during both event days. We will supply you with plenty of tips and important information about habitats, spawns, bonuses, research, raids, and news about GO Fest.
Before the start signal goes off, you should use the remaining hours to prepare for the event. We have summarized 6 tips that you should complete in the game before the GO Fest.
The most important information about GO Fest 2024 at a glance
This is what to expect at GO Fest 2024: The GO Fest 2024 extends over two event days with a total of 16 hours. You probably won’t get bored, because Niantic has prepared plenty of highlights for you.
You can look forward to a total of four habitats, more than 70 different Pokémon from raids, research, eggs, and the wild, as well as plenty of bonuses. You will also find many shinies and some regional Pokémon on both days.
A particularly big highlight is Necrozma, which you can find for the first time worldwide in raids and can change its form with the help of fusion. In addition, there will also be hourly global challenges for ticket holders, allowing you to earn extra bonuses. So there will be something for everyone during the two days.
Do all Pokémon spawn at the same time? No, as with past events of this kind, there will again be four habitats for GO Fest 2024, into which the spawns are divided on the first event day:
- Dämmerwiese
- Strahlender Tag
- Schleichende Dämmerung
- Dunkelste Nacht
These habitats will change hourly. Thus, on Saturday, you have the opportunity to play each habitat for a total of 2 hours. On Sunday, you will then have the chance to encounter all monsters again. On that day, however, they will spawn randomly throughout the day.
Do you need a ticket to play? The GO Fest can be played both with and without a ticket. This means that most content will be accessible to all trainers. However, if you want special smoke spawns, exclusive bonuses, such as an increased shiny chance, special 7-km eggs, or trading and raid bonuses, you will need a ticket.
With this, you will also receive a special research each day that brings you an encounter with the mysterious Pokémon Marshadow.
Where can you get the ticket? You can get the ticket for about 18 euros in the in-game shop of the game.
