In Pokémon GO, the first Hyperbonus is coming up. It brings the debut of Zwieps, Famieps, and several bonuses.
When does the Hyperbonus start? The first part of the Hyperbonus under the motto “Together we are strong” starts on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
It runs until Monday, July 22, 2024, at 8:00 PM.
What is the highlight? That is likely the new Pokémon debuting tomorrow: Zwieps. We will introduce it to you here.
Zwieps in Pokémon GO – Find, catch, evolve

What is Zwieps? It is a small Normal-type Pokémon. It consists of two little mice that are always traveling together. Zwieps first appeared in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
The evolution Famieps: Zwieps evolution is called Famieps and consists of four mouse specimens – two small and two large. In Pokémon GO, the evolution will cost 50 candies.
Famieps’ specialty: It has a Famieps evolution that consists of only three mice. It was extremely rare in Scarlet and Violet. It remains to be seen how this will be implemented in Pokémon GO.
Additionally, it had a very strong attack in Scarlet and Violet: “Mouse Family” can hit up to ten times and can inflict a lot of damage. How strong it will be in Pokémon GO is yet to be seen.
How do I catch Famieps? In Pokémon GO, you can encounter Famieps in three ways starting tomorrow.
- You can get it as a reward from Team Play tasks with some luck. So you’ll need to play together.
- It will appear during the first Hyperbonus in Field Research.
- It will appear in a limited research of the Hyperbonus event.
Bonuses in the Pokémon GO Hyperbonus
What are the bonuses? In this first part of the Hyperbonus, there are three bonuses that are worthwhile.
- You get quadruple XP when catching. This is probably the most interesting bonus if you are still on the way to Level 50. When using a Lucky Egg, you even get eight times the XP. It’s worth it.
- You receive double candies when catching.
- Additionally, friendship levels increase faster while trading, battling in raids and gyms, battling each other, and opening gifts. The friendship level can also help in leveling up the trainer.
