When does the Spotlight Hour start? On June 3rd, the first Spotlight Hour in June will start as usual at 18:00. It will run until 19:00 before the normal spawns reappear.
Which Pokémon is featured on June 3rd? The Pokémon for this Spotlight Hour is Parfi. It is a Fairy-type Pokémon that has an evolution: Parfinesse.
What is special about Parfi? To evolve Parfi, you need not only 50 candies but also to complete a task. It only evolves when incense is active. Don’t have any incense right now? Then you can also use a different item for the Parfi evolution, more about that here.
What bonus is active? You will receive double XP for each catch during the Spotlight Hour. With a Luck Egg, you can double the XP again. So the hour is a good opportunity to gather XP on your way to Level 50.
Is the Spotlight Hour with Parfi worth it?
Parfi’s strength: Unfortunately not that strong – and neither is Parfinesse. If you’re looking for a strong attacker, it’s better to use other Pokémon from the list of the strongest attackers in Pokémon GO.
The bonus with the XP is at least useful, but only if you’re not yet at Level 50.
Is the hour worth it? No, if you want a strong Pokémon. It’s more of an hour for those who still need Parfi or Parfinesse in their Pokédex or want to collect XP. Since Parfi appears in high numbers, you’ll quickly gather the candies for Parfinesse. And: You can try to catch the Shiny Parfi. The chance is low, but maybe you’ll get lucky with all the spawns.
