In Pokémon GO you can fight and catch a legendary Dyna-monster for the first time since yesterday. However, the community is not very pleased about it.
Since the Dynamax battles in Pokémon GO were unlocked, there have already been several monsters released in this form. Even the stronger form, the Gigadynamax battles, has already made its way into the game.
Since this week, there is Dyna-Articuno now also the first legendary Dyna-Pokémon in Dyna battles. However, there are some trainers in the community who criticize this.
“I will never touch Dynamax or Gigantamax again.”
What is the community criticizing? Already at the announcement of the legendary Dyna-Raids, there was criticism from the community. It was criticized that there are no decent counter-Pokémon for Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres.
After trainers have now completed the first Dyna-Raids against Articuno, additional points of criticism have emerged. In a post on Reddit, the trainer dapren22 complains about the following:
“I just spent an hour defeating a Dyna-Articuno with 3 trainers, one Level 39, Level 38, and me Level 50. We all had the right counters, almost 3000 CP, leveled-up attacks, and couldn’t win. That completely discouraged me and I will never touch Dynamax or Gigantamax again.”
Careless-Reference39 additionally points out in the same post: “the sheer amount of candies needed to improve the attacks is insane”.
Additionally, the timer in the lobby is criticized. Once 4 players have gathered in the Dyna lobby, the timer is reduced to 10 seconds, which, according to QuietRedditorATX on Reddit, is problematic:
“As soon as you are 4 players, the countdown is reduced to 10 seconds. This can lead to rushing when switching your team. Moreover, you have little time to ensure that your team consists of the right 4 people and not a random player in the group.”
Other commentators note that it is difficult for them to find the right number of trainers in their rural area. They hope for the possibility to participate in a Dyna battle like in a remote raid.
