In Pokémon GO the Fashion Raid Day starts with 11 costumed Pokémon. How to make the most of the day, we show you here.
When does the event take place? The Fashion Raid Day starts on Saturday, April 4 at 2:00 PM. You have 3 hours until the end of the event. It ends at 5:00 PM.
What’s in Raids? You will encounter eleven different costumed Pokémon in various raid levels. However, these are all Pokémon that have already been available to catch in the game. It’s a kind of repeat event. But: All costumed raid Pokémon receive an increased Shiny chance when caught.
What is the bonus? In addition to the increased Shiny chance, you’ll receive up to 6 free raid passes from gyms. That’s a great bonus to tackle many raids. Important: You can only pick them up after the last free pass has been used.
Which Pokémon are worth it on Raid Day?
Basically, this is a collector event, so grab the Pokémon you are still missing, whose costume you think is cool, or from which you want a Shiny. But we also take a playful look at how interesting the eleven monsters are and if strong attackers are included.
- Dragoran: Is a good attacker and is always worthwhile
- Kirlia: Evolves into Gardevoir, good attacker
- Sniebel: Evolves into Snibunna, good attacker in raids
- Absol: Okay as a Dark-type attacker in raids
- Smettbo: Irrelevant as a fighter
- Digda: Irrelevant as a fighter
- Felino: Irrelevant as a fighter
- Sheinux: Irrelevant as a fighter
- Glibunkel: Irrelevant as a fighter
- Zebritz: Irrelevant as a fighter
- Picochilla: Irrelevant as a fighter
How do I properly use the Raid Day?
Basically, it’s about completing as many raids as possible – this gives you the best chance at a Shiny. Therefore, you should find a location that has many gyms. Keep in mind: Since eleven Pokémon can appear at gyms, it will be harder to specifically search for a particular Pokémon. It’s different on raid days that focus on just one monster.
Assuming you want to catch a Dragoran, it may take a lot of walking to challenge multiple bosses. Here’s the best approach:
- Use the nearby Raids radar to locate where the next Pokémon you want to catch is.
- Alternatively, use the Campfire app to search for suitable raids in a larger area.
- Go to the gym, spin the disc, and pick up a free pass.
- Defeat the boss.
- Continue directly to the next gym. Don’t forget to pick up the next pass!
Given the three-hour time frame, it’s quite possible that you’ll need every minute to defeat the bosses.
What else is happening in Pokémon GO? Right now, Pokémon GO is all about Electric-type Pokémon – theoretically at least, since the Shockingly-Good-Time event was taken over by Mimigema. The Ghost-Fairy Pokémon surprisingly debuted on April 1 and can currently be caught. Exciting: Mimigema has a special ability that sets it apart from other Pokémon.
