When does the Community Day start? The Community Day with Chimpep starts on Sunday, January 18, at 14:00. It ends at 17:00.
What does the Community Day offer? During the Community Day, you will encounter a specific Pokémon, in this case Chimpep, for three hours in the wild. It will also have an increased shiny chance. Thus, you have a great opportunity to catch the shiny Chimpep.

Community Day in January 2026 with Chimpep – Starting Time & Event Bonuses
When? Sunday, January 18, 2026 – From 14:00 to 17:00
Exclusive Move: Instant Move Flora-Statue for Gortrom if you evolve it during the event or up to 4 hours afterwards
Extra Move: Gortrom can learn the move Drum Beats starting from the event.

Bonuses until 21:00:
– Lures attract Chimpep with increased shiny chance, which may also have a special background

– One additional special trade

Additionally, there will be a special Community Day box in the shop as usual, which is paid. It is optional; the previously mentioned bonuses also apply without the box.
How do I make the most of the Community Day with Chimpep?
Is Chimpep worth it? Chimpep’s final evolution, Gortrom, is a strong grass attacker, especially with Flora-Statue, making it even more interesting. The Pokémon also has a Gigantamax form. If you already have this, this day is a good opportunity to secure candies for it.
For collectors, the day is interesting, after all, you can secure a new shiny here.
Equally important: The High Zaptitude event is also happening on Sunday. This event is mainly about hatching eggs. So if you’re already out and about, you can also take advantage of this event.
How can I prepare for the event? There are a few points you can consider to get more out of the Community Day.
- Make space in your box so you don’t waste time sending Pokémon during the event. Use the sorting function for that.
- Some items can be useful during the event.

- Sananaberries to receive more candies when catching
- Star pieces to earn even more Stardust when catching
- Mega Pokémon: With an active Grass Mega Pokémon, you will receive additional candies and XP when catching Chimpep.
