In Pokémon GO, the Community Day featuring Knofensa is waiting for you. We will show you what to expect and how to make the most of the event.
What kind of event is this? The Community Day is a monthly event where a Pokémon is in the spotlight. During the event, the Pokémon appears in large numbers in the wild. In addition to a significantly increased chance of finding a shiny, there are other bonuses active during the event.
In April 2024, Knofensa is in the spotlight for the Community Day. This Pokémon from the 1st generation has the types Grass and Poison. It can evolve into Ultrigaria and then into Sarzenia.
We have compiled all the information about the event and tips on how to make the most of the Community Day for you.
Community Day in April 2024 with Knofensa – Start & Event Bonuses
When? Saturday, April 20, 2024 – From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Exclusive Attack: Fast Attack Leaf Storm for Sarzenia if you evolve Ultrigaria into Sarzenia by 10:00 PM

Additional content during the Community Day: After 5:00 PM you will find 4*-Raids that you can participate in to challenge Ultrigaria. If a raid is successfully completed, additional Knofensa will appear within 300 meters of the gym for 30 minutes. These raids cannot be completed with remote raid passes.

Who should consider participating in the Community Day with Knofensa?
For collectors: If you have had little luck with Knofensa and its evolutions so far, you can take advantage of this event to fill these entries in your Pokédex. With the frequent appearance of Knofensa, it will be easy to collect the necessary candies for evolution.
If you are out hunting for shinies, you should not miss the Community Day. You probably won’t have a better chance for a shiny Knofensa and its evolutions any time soon.
For fighters: Knofensa and its evolutions are somewhat limited for battling. At least in the Poison category, you will find Sarzenia in the list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO, although you should preferably opt for the shadow variant when it comes to this.
In the battle leagues, you should refrain from using Sarzenia. Many Pokémon perform better in the corresponding leagues.
The perfect preparation for the Community Day in April 2024
Make space: As always during Community Days, you should have enough space in your Pokémon box to catch the countless Knofensa.
If you need to create space during the event, you can quickly sort Pokémon with a simple trick.
Prepare your items: You should also make arrangements regarding your items to make the most of the Community Day.
- Enough balls: Make sure to pile up enough balls before the Community event. If not, check out how to collect Poké Balls in Pokémon GO beforehand.
- Sananaberries: By using Sananaberries when catching, you double the candies you receive for the catch. Since there are already double candies during the event, using Sananaberries will allow you to get four times the amount of candies.
- Incense and Lure module: With these two items, you can further increase the number of Knofensa you encounter. When activated during the event, the duration of both items will even be increased to 3 hours.
Which Mega Pokémon are worthwhile for the event? If you have a Mega Pokémon of the Grass or Poison type active during the event, you can enjoy an additional candy and experience points when catching. These Mega evolutions have at least one of the two types and are therefore worthwhile if you want to benefit from the bonus during the Community Day.
