What event is it about? A new mini-event has started in Pokémon GO, running under the name “Old Friends, New Beginnings.” Trainers in Germany, France, Spain, and the UK can look forward to very special bonuses.

How long does the mini-event last? The mini-event started on May 30, 2023, at 9:00 AM local time and runs until June 28, 2023, at 8:00 PM local time.
These 61 items are now available for free
What items can you expect? During this event period, you will find a free box in the Pokémon GO shop. It is located under the “Free” category next to your daily box. It is filled with the following items:
- 30 Poké Balls
- 15 Hyper Potions
- 15 Revives
- 1 Lure Module
How often can you collect the box? Each trainer from the mentioned regions can collect the box once.
More bonuses for the mini-event “Old Friends, New Beginnings”
Free content: But the free box is not all. The mini-event also has the following other free bonuses for you:
- Timed Research “Old Friends, New Beginnings”
- Reward: Encounters with Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, as well as corresponding candies
- A balloon in the game that brings you gifts
In some regions, special “Pokémon GO” hot air balloons can also be seen in the sky. With a bit of luck, you might spot one.
