At the Pokémon GO Fest 2024, raids will play a major role again. This time, you can catch the defeated Pokémon more easily and receive more candies more easily.
This weekend, the GO Fest 2024 is upon us and, as every year, brings you all sorts of content. In addition to some content that is only available to ticket holders, there are also some that are available to every trainer.
These include raids, for example. In the 5*-raids, you can find, challenge, and catch the Ultra Beasts and the legendary Pokémon Necrozma during the event.
This time, you can even get candies more easily than usual in raids. Because the Pokémon are significantly easier to catch than you are used to with 5*-raids.
Ultra Balls provide a huge advantage in catching
Why is catching easier? Before the GO Fest 2024, there was the event Visit from the Ultra Dimension
. Here, there was a global challenge that trainers successfully completed.
One of the two rewards from this challenge is Ultra Balls. These are now available during the GO Fest 2024 as soon as you have defeated a 5*-raid.
How can I get candies more easily? Ultra Balls greatly increase the chance of catching a Pokémon. Therefore, you can use regular and silver Pinap Berries when catching the Ultra Beasts and Necrozma, which will give you additional candies when catching the bosses.
Usually, the chance of catching a 5*-raid boss is significantly lower. Therefore, it is common to use golden Razz Berries, which increase the chance of a catch. However, thanks to the Ultra Balls, this is not necessarily required now.
If you still have trouble or luck catching the bosses, you can of course continue to use Razz Berries. This is advisable, for example, when you have very few balls left and don’t want to risk that the Pokémon escapes.
During the GO Fest 2024, there is a lot of content waiting for you. This includes wild Pokémon, research tasks, raids, and much more to look forward to. We have compiled an overview of all content for the GO Fest 2024 for you, so you know exactly what to expect when.
