Which events are we talking about? Every month, Pokémon GO hosts various events where you can look forward to special spawns and bonuses. You can also expect plenty of these in August. What Niantic has planned exactly and which dates you should not miss, we have summarized for you below.

What events are there in August? In the coming weeks, there is a lot to look forward to in Pokémon GO. You can once again look forward to plenty of spotlight and raid hours. In addition to the monthly community day, August puts particular focus on the big GO Fest with its live events and a global event weekend.

Special bonuses for August: In addition to the numerous events, you can also look forward to special bonuses in August. The following will be active in the game from August 01, 2023, at 10:00 AM local time until September 01, 2023, at 10:00 AM local time:

Which events are particularly worth it in August 2023?
These events you should not miss: In August, there are plenty of dates available for you. The following can be particularly worthwhile for you:
- Spotlight hour with Paras (August 08): If you want to farm a lot of stardust, you should not miss the spotlight hour with Paras. The monster is one of the 22 monsters in the game that give you more stardust when catching. In addition, there’s the catch bonus that comes with the short event, which gives you extra double stardust.
- Proto raids with Proto-Kyogre and Proto-Groudon (August 23 to August 26): Even before the start of GO Fest, the two proto monsters will return to raids. The best opportunity to secure a strong specimen and collect proto energy. Proto-Kyogre and Proto-Groudon are among the best attackers of their type.
- GO Fest 2023 (August 26 and 27): One of the highlights of the year will be the global GO Fest. You can look forward to plenty of spawns and bonuses again. If you have a ticket, you can look forward to the mysterious Pokémon Diancie among other things.
- Mega raids with Mega-Rayquaza (August 27): On the second day of GO Fest, Mega-Rayquaza finally celebrates its worldwide debut in the game. You should definitely not miss that and catch the mighty attacker.
