The Pokémon GO Environmental Week starts today. We have looked at what content and bonuses await you in this event.
What kind of event is this? The Environmental Week is an event that has taken place in Pokémon GO in previous years as well. The event starts today, on April 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM and runs until Friday, April 26, 2024, at 8:00 PM.
Although the event does not bring wild spawns or new Pokémon, there are still some contents that will be active during the event. These include various bonuses, field research, and collector challenges.

Environmental Week brings increased Shiny chance, buddy bonuses, and more
What bonuses are available in the event? In the event, you can look forward to the following bonuses:
- Your buddy brings you souvenirs and gifts more often
- Your buddy stays on the map longer after you fed it with berries or snacks
- You only need half the distance to earn hearts with your buddy
- Increased Shiny chance for Pokémon from 2-km eggs
- 2 collector challenges
- Event field research
- Showcases with event Pokémon
Which Pokémon can hatch from 2-km eggs? During the event, you can hatch the following Pokémon from 2-km eggs. The Shiny chance is increased for these Pokémon.
- Wadribie*
- Rotomurf*
- Unratütox*
- Tarnpignon*
- Bithora*
All Pokémon marked with a * can appear as Shiny.
What field research is available in the event? In the Environmental Week, there are various field research tasks where you encounter the same Pokémon that you can also hatch from 2-km eggs.
If you encounter the Pokémon as a reward from field research, the Shiny chance is not increased, as is the case with 2-km eggs.
- Catch 5 Pokémon: Bithora*
- Catch 10 Pokémon: Tarnpignon*
- Explore 1 km: Unratütox*
- Explore 2 km: Rotomurf*
- Hatch an egg: Wadribie*
All Pokémon marked with a * can also appear in their Shiny form.
What collector challenges are there? In the event, there are 2 collector challenges. For the first collector challenge, you need to catch Rotomurf and evolve it into Stalobor, and for the second, you need to catch Unratütox and evolve it into Deponitox.
For successfully completing the collector challenges, you will receive 10,000 experience points and 5,000 stardust as a reward each.
