The last event has passed, and now Pokémon GO announces the next Community Day: In May 2022 you will be able to catch Alolan Geodude.
This is now known: Alolan Geodude will be the star of the Community Day in May 2022. This variant of the Pokémon is of the Rock and Electric type, just like its evolutions Alolan Graveler and Alolan Golem.
During the Community Day, Alolan Geodude will appear all over the game for the current “Alola Season”. You can also look forward to an increased shiny rate as usual.

Community Day in May 2022 at Pokémon GO – All Info
When does the Community Day take place? The Community Day with Alolan Geodude runs on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM local time.
Again, like the Velursi Community Day, a three-hour window will be used instead of six hours. This time, however, it will be played during lunchtime instead of in the afternoon.
The bonuses: In addition to the increased spawn and shiny rate for Alolan Geodude, the event brings several additional bonuses.
- 3 times the Stardust for each catch
- Double catch candy
- Double chance for XL Geodude candy when you catch Alolan Geodude
- 3 hours duration for Lures and Incense
- Snapshot surprises
- An additional special trade during the event and up to two hours afterward
- During the event and up to hours later, trade actions will cost only half the Stardust
Special Bonus: There is also a bonus if you catch Pokémon at particularly crowded PokéStops with Lures. If enough Pokémon are caught, you will receive four times the amount of Stardust near that PokéStop instead of three times.
Special move: If you evolve an Alolan Golem during the event and up to two hours afterward, it will learn the new move “Waltz”.

What does the shop offer? In the shop you will find, as usual for the event:
- A free box with 30 Ultra Balls
- A Community Day box for 975 coins with 1 Super Incubator, 1 Lucky Egg, 1 Charged TM, and 1 Star Piece
- You can also buy the special research “A Rocky Path” for one Euro.
- This ticket can now also be gifted to other players for the first time.
- Event stickers will also be available in the shop.
