Series
What series are there? In Pokémon GO there are 4 different series, 3 of which start over when you don’t continue them every day. These 3 series are “Catch a Pokémon daily,” “Spin a PokéStop daily,” and “Complete a route.”
For the first two, you receive a nice bonus of stardust and experience points each time. The further your series continues, the higher the bonus. After 7 days, the series ends and starts over.
For consistently following routes for 7 consecutive days, you will receive an experience points bonus on the 7th day.

What rewards do I get from a research breakthrough? If you complete a field research every day, you can continue this series and look forward to a research breakthrough after 7 days. With this, you encounter a Pokémon as a reward. These Pokémon vary and are rotated regularly. This series is not reset if one day is missed.
Currently, you can encounter one of the following Pokémon during a research breakthrough:
- Lapras*
- Galar-Smogmog*
- Galar-Pantimos*
- Coiffwaff*
- Viscora*
- Miniras
You also receive at least one of the following bonuses:
- 3000 experience points
- 2000 stardust
- 20 Pokéballs
- 5 Hyperballs
- 5 Nanab berries
- 3 Rare candies
- 1 Sinnoh stone
- 1 Unova stone
Routes
What advantage do the routes bring? Completing a route daily brings you experience points (and as mentioned previously, a higher experience points bonus on the 7th day). Additionally, if you are out with your buddy while doing this, you can earn a buddy heart.

Friendship
What tasks can I complete with friends daily? If you have a lot of friends and plenty of time, you can gather several additional items and also some stardust by using gifts. You can open up to 30 gifts per day and even send a whole 100 gifts each day.
If the gifts you open contain postcards, you can pin them to your postcard book. This allows you to encounter a Purmel at certain progress points, which you can see in your medals. Feel free to check what special features Purmel, Puponcho, and Vivillon have if you’re interested in this topic.
What items can I receive in gifts? The quantity and combination of items can vary. However, they always consist of at least one of the following items.
- 7 km eggs
- Stardust
- Stickers
- Pokéballs
- Superballs
- Hyperballs
- Potions
- Super potions
- Hyper potions
- Max revives
- Nanan berries
- Evolution stones
Exchange
How many Pokémon can I trade in a day? The trade limit for Pokémon is divided into two different categories. One is the limitation for one special trade per day. This does not apply per friend but in total for you. Additionally, you can trade a maximum of 100 Pokémon with your friends per day. Whether you trade 100 Pokémon with the same friend or one Pokémon with 100 friends does not matter.
Team Leader, Rocket Balloons, and Remote Raids
What rewards can I receive when battling a team leader? You can receive a reward every day for your first victory against a team leader. This consists of one of the following rewards:
- 500 stardust
- 1 rare candy
- 1 fast TM
- 1 charged TM
- 1 Sinnoh stone
How often can I battle team rocket balloons? The rocket balloons appear every 6 hours, one at 00:00, 06:00, 12:00, and 18:00. Thus, you have the chance to challenge 4 rocket balloons every day.
In addition to the balloons, you also have the opportunity to battle rocket grunts or bosses at PokéStops. There are certain rocket grunts that are particularly worthwhile.
How many remote raids can I participate in each day? Each day you can participate in 5 remote raids if you have the corresponding remote raid passes.
GO Battle League and Trainer Battles
How many PvP battles can I do each day? The number of daily PvP battles in the GO Battle League is limited to 4 battle sets, with each battle set consisting of 5 battles. Thus, you can conduct 20 battles in the league every day. It does not matter in which league you conduct the battles.
What rewards can I receive when battling with a friend? You receive rewards for the first 3 battles with a friend. You can conduct further battles, but they will not be rewarded anymore. The rewards you can receive for the first 3 battles are one from the following list.
- 500 stardust
- 1000 stardust
- 1 rare candy
- 1 fast TM
- 1 charged TM
- 1 Sinnoh stone
Items
What items can I receive for free in Pokémon GO daily? Every day there are a few items you can receive for free in Pokémon GO. The first is the free raid pass that you receive from the first spin of a disc in a gym.
In addition, you can also give berries to Pokémon placed in gyms, which always gives you a small amount of stardust and, if you are lucky, also candies from that specific Pokémon.
Furthermore, there is the daily free box in the shop that you can collect. In this, you can receive a combination of several of the following items:

Why should I use the daily adventure incense? Every day you also have the daily adventure incense available. When you use it and move during that time, you can benefit from an increased spawn chance of Pokémon.

Coins
How do I get free coins in Pokémon GO? Currently, there is only one way to obtain free coins in Pokémon GO daily. For this, you must defend gyms with your Pokémon. For every 10 minutes, you receive one coin, so after 8 hours and 20 minutes, you reach the daily maximum of 50 coins.
It doesn’t matter how many Pokémon you have spread across how many gyms. The important thing is that you have defended gyms for a total time of 8 hours and 20 minutes, and that the Pokémon then fly out of the gym due to the takeover of an opposing team. Buddy
How can I earn hearts with my buddy? To earn hearts with your buddy, there are various activities you can engage in.
- Walk 2 km together (can be done 3 times)
- Give your buddy a snack (can be done 3 times)
- Play together
- Battle together
- Take a snapshot
- Visit a new place
- Follow a route together
- Bonus
Each activity earns your buddy a heart. If your buddy is excited on a day, for example, by feeding it with a Knursp, you can perform the activities twice for each and earn even more hearts.
How often can I trade my buddy each day? You can trade your buddy 20 times a day and engage in all activities with every buddy to maximize the hearts earned.
Mega Evolution
How can I increase the Mega level of my Pokémon? You can trigger a Mega evolution if your Pokémon is not in the mega evolution resting phase or if you have the required Mega energy.
This lasts for 8 hours and gives you one progress point for the Mega level of the Pokémon. If you haven’t reached the maximum Mega level yet, it’s worth performing Mega evolutions regularly to increase it.
Just be careful not to send this mega Pokémon into a mega evolution resting phase when you need it urgently for raids in the next few days.
