In Pokémon GO you will encounter the Rocket leaders Arlo, Sierra, Cliff, and the boss Giovanni. Each of them gives you a reward Pokémon. Which ones are worth it?
These are the Rocket bosses: Arlo, Sierra, and Cliff can be challenged if you have collected enough parts for a Rocket Radar. You will then face them in battle to get closer to the Rocket boss Giovanni, for whom you will need a Super Rocket Radar.
The bosses each have different Pokémon that were changed during the last Rocket event. You will always receive one of them as a reward. But which ones are worth it?

Arlo, Sierra, Cliff, Giovanni – Who is worth the fight?

Arlo with Knofensa
Arlo has Crypto-Knofensa as a reward, which evolves into Sarzenia through Ultrigaria. Crypto-Sarzenia can convince in the Super League as a fast, strong attacker, which, however, does not survive very long. In terms of raids, it is one of the best attackers of the poison type, which is usually needed less frequently.

Cliff with Dratini
Crypto-Dragoran is one of the absolute top attackers in Pokémon GO – both in raids and in the battle league. The dragon impresses with strong moves and good stats. Dratini is thus a very exciting reward that you should grab from Cliff and then evolve.

Sierra with Zobiris
Sierra has Crypto-Zobiris, a monster that is not particularly popular in raids, but can be very convincing in the Super League. The ghost and dark Pokémon is feared in the Super League, but is actually a special case: Often it is advised not to purify Crypto-Pokémon. In the case of Zobiris, the situation is a bit different, as it becomes even better in the league with the move “Return”.

Giovanni with Regigigas
The Rocket boss brings along the leader of the Regi trio, who reaches quite high stats. The problem is that Regigigas, due to its normal typing and its move pool, can hardly rely on very effective moves or STAB damage. This makes it often uninteresting in raids when one can rely on other monsters of suitable types. And even in the battle league, Regigigas is not an interesting option.

Which Rocket bosses are worth it the most? That depends on what you are looking for. Basically, you also have the chance for Shinys with Cliff, Sierra, and Arlo, which is already interesting.
- Cliff brings the probably best Pokémon overall – Crypto-Dragoran is simply very strong.
- Sierra, meanwhile, offers one of the best PvP monsters.
- Arlo is also interesting in PvP, but maybe a bit behind Sierra.
- Giovanni essentially has the weakest option when it comes to battles – but legendary monsters might be something you want in your collection.
