In Pokémon GO, the new event Cave Explorer Bay
is just around the corner. We show you what to expect from the event.
When is the event? The event starts on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 10:00 AM and ends on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 8:00 PM.
While a local part of the GO Fest 2024 is already taking place in Madrid, culminating in the global GO Fest 2024 in about a month, you have the opportunity to participate in an event from elsewhere. The event even features a few Pokémon that are currently roaming in Madrid.
Shiny, Bonus, Pokémon
Which Pokémon is making its Shiny debut? Krabbox, the fighting Pokémon from Generation 7, is making its Shiny debut at the event. It is available in this form for the first time in the game. It evolves into Krawell.
Which Pokémon are featured in the event? Several Pokémon await you in the wild and in raids during the event. These are as follows.

What else is happening at the event? For $2 (approximately €2), you can purchase a limited-time research in the in-game shop. You have until the end of the event on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 8:00 PM to complete the tasks. As a reward, you can look forward to encounters with Krabbox, 5 premium battle passes, and 20 Krabbox candies.
Which Pokémon are particularly worthwhile? Both Shiny hunters and trainers focusing on raids or the battle league can benefit from the event. The Shiny debut of Krabbox could be interesting for collectors who want to add a new Shiny to their Pokédex.
If you still need strong additions for your raid teams, Rihorn could be interesting. Its final evolution Rihornior is a strong Pokémon both as a rock and ground attacker and can also be found in the list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
On the other hand, Rocara shines in the battle league. It is one of the best Pokémon in the Super League and currently ranks 4th in the list from PvPoke. If you need a good specimen, you should take advantage of the event.
Thanks to the bonus in the event, where you receive double candies when catching Pokémon, you can also collect the necessary candies better to level up these Pokémon. If you use a Nanab Berry when catching, you can get a whopping 12 candies per catch.
