What kind of Pokémon is this? Kecleon is the monster with number 352, which many trainers lacked in the Pokédex for a long time. The release of Kecleon was a sort of endless story: For years trainers asked when the monster would come into the game.
After the Community Day in January 2023, it finally happened and Kecleon celebrated its release.
The Pokémon is now catchable, but it camouflages itself and is not easy to find. We will show you everything you need to know about the catch.
Kecleon only catchable at PokéStops – Here’s how to get it in Pokémon GO
Finding Kecleon in Pokémon GO: To find Kecleon, you need to spin as many PokéStops as possible. It doesn’t simply spawn in the wild but hides on the spinning disks of PokéStops.
If you find a corresponding stop, Kecleon climbs around the disk in its invisible form. It blocks the spinning of the disk.
Now you must chase Kecleon off the disk by tapping multiple times. After that, you can spin the PokéStop.
Once you’ve done this, Kecleon appears as a spawn in the wild right next to the PokéStop. Then you can click on it and catch it as usual.
So the way to Kecleon can be summarized as follows:
- Spin and check PokéStops
- Find invisible Kecleon
- Tap and spin the stop
- Catch Kecleon in the wild
You must consider: Kecleon is a rare monster and currently there is no recognizable system regarding which stops it appears at. So you should try your luck at as many stops as possible if you want to find it.
Also, you should turn off your Rocket Radar when searching for Kecleon, because Team Rocket’s bosses can block the stops.
Can Kecleon be Shiny? Currently, the shiny version of Kecleon cannot be found in the game. However, the shiny version is supposed to be introduced during the GO Tour Hoenn in Las Vegas.
Is Kecleon strong? No, Kecleon is not a strong attacker in Pokémon GO. Currently, it is only worth catching from a collector’s perspective: to complete the PokéDex.
