In Pokémon GO you can expect a Catching Techniques event right at the beginning of the new month. We at MeinMMO will show you which spawns and bonuses you can look forward to during this event and reveal which Shinies you can secure with a bit of luck.
What event is it? March has begun, and the new season, “Rising Heroes”, is introduced in Pokémon GO with a one-day Catching Techniques event.
The focus is on catching Fighting Pokémon, so the spawns will be adjusted accordingly. We have summarized which monsters you can expect and what bonuses will be available.
When is the event? The Catching Techniques event will take place on Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Fighting Pokémon for the Catching Techniques Event – All Spawns and Bonuses
The Pokémon of the day: Similar to a Community Day, specific Pokémon will also be the focus during the Catching Techniques event. On this day, you will encounter Rabauz and its evolutions Kicklee, Nockchan, and Kapoera. In the following overview, we show you where you can meet these monsters:
- In the Wild: Kicklee & Nockchan
- 7-km Eggs: Rabauz
- Event Field Research: Kapoera
With a bit of luck, you will be able to catch them all in their shiny forms as well. You can see what the Shinies look like in the image below:
Special Event Bonuses: In addition to the four Fighting Pokémon, you can also look forward to a few bonuses during the short event:
- double XP when catching monsters with a good, great, or fantastic Curveball
- increased shiny chance for Kicklee, Nockchan, and Kapoera
- Event Field Research where you must prove your throwing skills
- Time-limited research focused on your accuracy when throwing
- Encounter with 40 Kapoera
Who should use the event? This event is particularly interesting for all shiny hunters, as the chances of a shiny specimen are increased on this day for three of the four Pokémon. If you want to secure one of them, you should definitely take advantage of the event.
But the XP bonus is also impressive. If you catch your monsters with a Curveball that has been thrown well, great, or fantastic, you will receive double experience points. Those who catch a lot on this day and have a talent for throwing will get closer to their goal of level 50.
Rabauz and its evolutions are not particularly strong, which is why they do not play a special role in the GO Battle League and in raids.
