In Pokémon GO an unusual raid hour has been announced. The legendary monster Suicune gets a special date.
When does the raid hour take place? The developers of Pokémon GO added another entry to the English version of the February event blog. It confirms that there will be an additional raid hour with Suicune on Monday, February 8 at 6:00 PM local time.
This is an unusual raid hour because these special one-hour events usually take place on Wednesday evenings. No such event had been announced for Suicune yet, as Latias and Latios will already be available in raids next Wednesday.
The water monster was still missing to complete the raid trio of Raikou, Entei and Suicune.

What the additional raid hour brings you
Who is the raid hour worth it for? In general, the raid hour is worthwhile for everyone who does not have Suicune on their team yet. Although the monster has been available since February 4 and will remain until February 9, you will find it in almost every arena during the raid hour. So you don’t need to search for it much; you can just go to the nearest arena.
Additionally, shiny hunters might find the hour interesting, as the shiny version of the monster is available in Pokémon GO.
Moreover, legendary raid hours are generally worth leveling up. Raids with legendary monsters grant a lot of XP. Additionally, some tasks on the way to level 50 require you to catch legendary Pokémon.
How strong is Suicune? While the other two members of the trio are really strong, Suicune does not play a role among the best water attackers in Pokémon GO. Compared to Raikou and Entei, Suicune is generally considered weaker.
The hour is thus more for players who want to complete their Pokédex, look for shinies, or are hunting for XP.
