In Pokémon GO there will soon be the new “Bottle Cap”, or rather the “Capsule”. We summarize all known information so far.
A leak had already hinted at it, and now there is a first official confirmation: In a 12-second teaser on YouTube, the golden capsule was announced.
The teaser features the five legendary Regi-Pokémon, along with the GO-Fest-2025 logo. This matches the event “Inheritance of Antiquity”, which runs from June 23 to June 27, and of course the global GO Fest on June 28 and 29.
Currently, it looks more like a release in July, as there were already some additional details in a stream about the Pokémon North America International Championships. The corresponding clip was shared by LeekDuck via Facebook.
How do you get the caps? In the video, it is mentioned that the golden capsule will first appear through the GO-Deluxe-Pass. This is the paid version of the monthly GO-pass, during which different levels must be reached to unlock rewards.
What do Bottle Caps bring in Pokémon GO?
What is the golden capsule? “Bottle Caps” or “Caps” are used in the main games to improve Pokémon stats. With silver capsules, one stat is improved, while with golden capsules, multiple stats of Pokémon are enhanced.
The capsules will have a similar effect in Pokémon GO. They can be used to improve stats. The capsule can be used to activate “Hyper Training” by giving the capsule to your buddy Pokémon.
From then on, you will have 365 days to complete the training. This will likely consist of various tasks that will then improve the respective stats. This way, you would have the opportunity to enhance your rare or legendary Pokémon if they do not have perfect stats. Particularly Pokémon that only appear once in the game could be interesting here.
