In Pokémon GO the next battle day is approaching. What the event brings and what is involved in the 1-euro research will be revealed here.
What kind of event is this? The battle days take place regularly in Pokémon GO and focus on the PvP league. The next one is called “GO Battle Day: Stardust”.
When is the battle day? The battle day takes place on Sunday, May 14, 2023, from 00:00 to 23:59 local time.
What does the battle day offer? The main bonus is that you can complete 20 sets of battles with 5 fights each during the event, instead of just the regular 5 allowed per day.
This means: You have 100 duels available to fight your way through the battle league. Here you can find pro tips on how to be successful in the battle league.
Additionally, you will receive quadruple stardust as a reward for each individual victory (this does not apply to the entire set of battles and is not combined with the triple stardust bonus from the Master League rotation weeks. So it remains quadruple dust per victory.)
Finally, there will also be additional research. However, this has left some trainers unhappy.
New research will cost one euro – what does it include?
What kind of research is this? It is a limited time research that can already be purchased for 0.99 euros in the in-game shop of Pokémon GO. According to the announcement, it revolves around battling and is supposed to bring a large amount of stardust.
However, since the research has been in the shop, it is clear that it is precisely 25,000 stardust. It also provides 3 special candies and 1 star piece. The exact procedure of the research is not yet known, but it will only be available on May 14.
However, some trainers are wondering about the research. The recent battle day researches, such as for the GO Battle Day: Victor in the current season, as well as the two researches for the battle days in the “Mysterious Wishes” season were free and also provided bonuses like avatar items or a premium charge TM.
Do you need strong Pokémon for PvP? Look for shadow Pokémon:
In a post on the topic in the Pokémon GO subreddit, trainers voiced their criticism:
- “Paying for stardust is ridiculous, no Pokémon encounter? Or a featured Pokémon for victories? That’s crazy.” (via reddit).
- “When they announced this at the beginning of the season, I thought it would be a very large amount of stardust. But only 25k is ridiculous,” another one says (via reddit).
- “Only 25k? It’s not worth it.” (via reddit).
Important: The ticket is not necessary for the battle day itself. The additional battle sets and the quadruple stardust per victory can also be obtained without purchasing the ticket.
