What are Spotlight Hours? These events occur every Tuesday evening for one hour each. From 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, a Pokémon along with a bonus will be the focus on these days. The content is determined by the developers and announced before the events. The bonus can affect XP, Stardust, and earned Candy.

Mark your calendars: A total of four Spotlight Hours will start in June. The following Pokémon and bonuses will be the focus:

Spotlight Hour on June 7
Which Pokémon? In the first Spotlight Hour in June, you will encounter the Pokémon Nasgnet from the third generation. It is of the type Rock and can evolve into Voluminas.
What bonuses do you get? For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of Candy.
Who is this worth it for? Nasgnet is not particularly interesting as an attacker in PvE (in raids) or PvP (trainer battles). Its evolution, Voluminas, is at least in the upper midfield in PvP in the Super League and Hyper League. The catching bonus is also very strong and is worth it for you. You can also catch raid bosses during this time and receive double the Candy there.

Spotlight Hour on June 14
Which Pokémon? In the second Spotlight Hour in June, the focus is on the Pokémon Mantax from the second generation. It evolves from Mantirps.
What bonuses do you get? For sending Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of Candy.
Who is this worth it for? Mantax is rather to be neglected in PvE. In PvP, Mantax ranks in the upper midfield in the Super League and still in the lower midfield in the Hyper League. Additionally, the bonus is worth it so you can effectively clean up your collection and earn a lot of Candy for it.

Spotlight Hour on June 21
Which Pokémon? The third Spotlight Hour in June features Webarak from the second generation. It is of the types Bug and Poison and evolves into Ariados.
What bonuses do you get? For evolving Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of experience points.
Who is this worth it for? Webarak itself is not particularly strong as an attacker. Ariados performs in the midfield in the Super League but is otherwise not very strong. The event is mainly worth it for the bonus.

Spotlight Hour on June 28
Which Pokémon? Pikachu with Trading Card Game Cap. This is again a new form of Hat Pikachu that appears together with the trading card game event in the game.
What bonuses do you get? For catching Pokémon, you will receive double the amount of Stardust.
Who is this worth it for? For collectors who want to catch all forms of Hat Pikachu, this event is interesting. The Spotlight Hour is especially worth it for catching a lot of Stardust. Together with a Star Piece, you can greatly increase your resources during the hour.
Is Hat Pikachu available as Shiny? Yes, you can also catch Pikachu with the Trading Card Game Cap as shiny.
