When do the raid hours take place? Every Wednesday, Niantic hosts a so-called raid hour in Pokémon GO, during which numerous arenas are occupied by the bosses of the Level 5 raids between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM local time and can be challenged.
Due to the global GO Fest, which runs at the end of the month, another raid hour will take place on Thursday, August 24, 2023. The following bosses will be waiting for you in August:

| August 30 | Yveltal* |

On August 27, 2023, you will then have one last chance to encounter the two proto-Pokémon. They will return to the raids for one more hour:
- August 27 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM: Proto-raids with Proto-Kyogre* and Proto-Groudon*

What is particularly worthwhile? The highlight of August will be the worldwide debut of Mega-Rayquaza at the global GO Fest. Unless you are at one of the live events beforehand, you will have your only chance to encounter the powerful Mega Pokémon on August 27. You should take this opportunity, as Mega-Rayquaza is among the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
In addition, both proto-raids are also worthwhile: For Proto-Kyogre and Proto-Groudon are both among the strongest attackers of their type. Take this chance to secure a strong specimen and farm some proto-energy.
