In Pokémon GO you regularly need various Pokémon for the showcases. These are the Pokémon you need for December.
What showcases are there in December? If you regularly participate in showcases, you can already try to collect the corresponding Pokémon to be optimally prepared. Some of the required Pokémon can be caught in the new Along the Routes
event.
The previous showcases known for December 2023 are as follows:
- December 5 to December 8: Sniebel and Hisui-Sniebel
- December 11 to December 15: Vulpix, Ponita, Krabby, Voltobal, Ditto
- December 16: Flegmon, Galar-Flegmon, Togetic, Igamaro, Fynx, eF-eM
- December 17: Quapsel, Felino, Paldea-Felino, Praktibalk, Milza, Froxy, Mabula
What do I need to win a showcase? To win a showcase, a score is calculated based on a property of a Pokémon (such as weight or size). The Pokémon with the highest score wins the showcase.
The property used to calculate the score can vary, so sometimes the heaviest Pokémon counts, and other times the largest Pokémon. If you have the corresponding storage capacity, you should try to collect the Pokémon that is the largest, smallest, heaviest, and lightest.
Identifying and participating in PokéStops with showcases
How do I recognize a PokéStop with a showcase? You can identify PokéStops with an ongoing showcase by a circle hovering above the PokéStop. You can see what this looks like in the following image.

How do I participate in a showcase? To register a Pokémon for a showcase, you need to be near the PokéStop. If you have the appropriate Pokémon, you can then register it for the showcase. If you find a better specimen during the showcase, you can also exchange it. We have more information on how to use the showcases for you.
What rewards do I receive in a showcase? The rewards you can receive in showcases vary and depend on your final placement. Potential rewards include Stardust, TMs, and even Incense.
