What kind of event is this? During a Community Day, a Pokémon is the focus, which appears very frequently. A Community Day is accompanied by special bonuses that are active at the same time. A Community Day Classic features a Pokémon that was already present in a regular Community Day.
When does the event take place? The Community Day Classic with Porygon will run on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Which Pokémon is the focus? In this event, you will encounter Porygon more frequently. This is a Normal-type Pokémon from the first generation. It has the evolution stages Porygon2 and Porygon-Z.

Community Day Classic with Bonuses, Researches, and Showcases
What bonuses are there during the event? Apart from the increased spawn rate of Porygon, you will receive triple experience points for catching Pokémon. If you activate incense or a lure module during the event, they will remain active for a full 3 hours.
Which special move can Porygon-Z learn? If you evolve Porygon2 into Porygon-Z during or up to 2 hours after the event, it will learn the charged move Tri Attack. This move is of the Normal type and deals 75 damage in raids and gyms, and 65 damage in trainer battles, where it also has a chance to lower the attacking and defensive stats of the opposing Pokémon.
What research will be available during the event? In the Community Day Classic, you can complete field research in which you need to catch Porygon and will be rewarded with more Porygons, stardust, and ultra balls. Additionally, there will be a free limited-time field research as well as an exclusive limited-time field research for 1 €.
Will Porygon be available as Shiny? Yes, Porygon will be available as Shiny during the event, so you can add this Pokémon and its evolution stages in their Shiny variants to your collection.
What else will happen during the event? While the event is running, there will also be showcases where you can compete with your Porygon and Porygon-Z. If you take AR photos during the event, Porygon might sneak into your picture.
