In Pokémon GO nothing has been seen from Team GO Rocket for a few days. A solution to the problem has now been found and the pesky Grunts and Bosses are back.
What is going on with Team Rocket? On April 10, the developers of Pokémon GO announced that they had to temporarily disable the members of Team GO Rocket in the game. This was due to issues related to encounters with the Grunts and Bosses. Since then, there has been virtually no news on the topic. However, it is now clear: The developers have found a solution to the problem and Team Rocket will soon be back in the game.

Team Rocket is coming back soon – Status as of April 22
What’s new? The developers of Pokémon GO have a website where they describe the status of current issues and bugs. A list of known errors. On April 22, you can find the entry: “Encounters with Team GO Rocket Grunts sometimes cause the game to freeze.”
The more detailed error description states that the game freezes and then becomes unresponsive. They circumvented the issue by removing Team GO Rocket from the game.
For unresolved issues, it is stated on the page that they are still investigating. The status of the Rocket issue is: “Will be fixed in an upcoming update.”
When are they coming back? No exact date has been set. Furthermore, Niantic does not clarify whether the upcoming update is the “next” one. However, what is clear is that the developers have already found the solution. It just needs to be processed in an update. The re-release of Team Rocket in Pokémon GO shouldn’t be far off.
Anyone who has watched the Pokémon anime series knows about Team Rocket, especially Jessie, James, and Meowth. In Pokémon GO, many other members have exciting roles. Sometimes they appear as nameless Grunts lurking at PokéStops or visiting players with Balloons. They reward you after defeating them with strong Shadow Pokémon.
If you defeat enough of them, you will face the Rocket Bosses Arlo, Sierra, or Cliff. They reward players again with Shadow Pokémon. If you battle the Boss Giovanni, you may even receive a legendary Shadow Pokémon.
Why is this so important?
This is the problem: For some players, it may not matter that they cannot battle the members of Team GO Rocket for a few days. But as soon as the requirements for Level 45 come into play, problems arise. You are required to defeat 100 Rocket Grunts, catch 100 Shadow Pokémon, and defeat 50 Team GO Rocket Bosses.
Those who have already gathered the required XP and completed all other tasks are now just waiting for the reactivation of Team GO Rocket. Trainers have already complained that they cannot level up in Pokémon GO right now.
