In Pokémon GO there is a new search filter. It can help you with your raid teams.
What is this search term? A trainer shared his latest find in the Pokémon GO community on reddit. It was about new search terms introduced with update 0.289.1.
These are the two special characters:
- >
- <
What do the special characters bring? If you enter these characters as search filters with a Pokémon type, you will get the following overviews:
>
shows you only monsters with attacks that are very effective against a type. The search term>Fire
would show you all monsters that can effectively attack fire with their moves.<
on the other hand shows you all monsters that have a weakness against a type.
New find is perfect for strong raid teams
This is how trainers react: In the subreddit “TheSilphRoad”, trainers are excited about the new find. The user “Samerz360” probably stumbled upon it because he usually adds these characters to his shinies – and was surprised by the new search results.
Other players are now praising the function, as it provides a good way to build suitable raid teams, even if they are not yet adept at type effectiveness. If you know which ones are the strongest attackers in Pokémon GO, you can use them in the raid.
How do you apply this? If you are fighting against the new raid boss Terrakion, you can enter >Rock
or >Fighting
to display some of the monsters that are at least suitable for your raid battle in terms of moves.
What do you think of the new feature? Will you use it for raids, or do you generally not need something like that? Let us know in the comments!
In the new update, trainers also found a hint that soon two new legendary forms could be coming: An entry in the Pokédex apparently indicates this. Everything about it here.
