Last Epoch celebrated the release of its new season. For many, the studio behind the ARPG has done a magnificent job and is so good that it even outshines its competitor Path of Exile 2. Although PoE2 currently plays poorly, GGG however intends to follow its own path.
What is going poorly in Path of Exile 2? Since the release of the new league “Dawn of the Hunt,” many fans have complained about countless problems in the ARPG. Some of these include:
- Terrible or no loot in endgame
- Nerfs to overly strong builds that have made the game too easy
- Network connections and server outages
For many, Path of Exile 2 is simply not fun when reaching the endgame and the notorious dopamine rush from loot is missing.
With the release of the new season of Last Epoch, some fans of Path of Exile 2 have now switched sides and are looking forward to the innovations of the ARPG. The game has changed for the better, and although Last Epoch does many things better than Path of Exile 2, fans believe that the team at GGG (developers of PoE2) should stick to their ideas.
Path of Exile 2 should remain true to itself
What do fans say about the success of Last Epoch? On Reddit, user mccao commented on the success of Last Epoch. Since the release of the new season, many PoE2 fans have been comparing both games, and while GGG can learn a lot from Last Epoch, it would be wrong to align PoE2 to that standard.
Path of Exile 2 is taking a different route to distinguish itself from other games of the same genre and offer freshness – traditional power fantasy does not belong here, as that can be found in PoE1 or Last Epoch. Up to 2,463 (as of April 22, 11:19 AM) fans on Reddit agree with mccao and have shared the following comments:

Will Path of Exile 2 change further? Currently, the developers of Path of Exile 2 are tirelessly working on the ARPG. They are releasing many patches to address the pain points that the community is currently upset about. Loot will also be addressed soon, but for many fans, that is still not enough: Path of Exile 2 will soon bring more loot into the game, but that is not enough for the community
