Since Season 2, Diablo 4 has been experiencing a small upturn in community sentiment. Players celebrate the activities, changes, and items that have been added, but some of them demonize the far too strong builds – even calling on Blizzard to do something about it, though the developers refuse.
Why the complaint? While Season 2 is well received by many, there are players who are now complaining about the far too easy Diablo 4. Before Patch 1.2.0, Blizzard had already announced that many classes would be buffed to become more powerful. With the release, it was finally time, and even classes like wizards could finally shine with an S-rank build.
Everything seems perfect, but there is still a faction of players who are not satisfied. They want a challenge and to struggle in battles rather than mowing everything down in seconds. For this reason, they are calling for nerfs to the far too strong builds that are shaking up the meta, but Blizzard has a clear answer to that.

Players demand, but Blizzard sees no reason to respond
How does Blizzard respond to the demand? The Game Director Joe Shelly personally responded to the demand on X (formerly Twitter) and revealed the lack of plans to do anything against the fun in Season 2:
We are happy that players are enjoying Diablo 4 Season of Blood and do not intend to nerf it.

With Season 1, the developers behind Diablo 4 had massive struggles:
- some weak builds
- boring activities
- inappropriate nerfs
- barely any variety
- grinding for important items was too exhausting
- and more
In contrast, since the release of Diablo 4 with Season 2, things have been heading in the right direction. Builds finally feel powerful and there are many options for all classes to destroy monsters. Moreover, players enjoy the vampiric powers that they can now add to their heroes throughout the Season.
Finally, the rare uniques and uber-uniques can be farmed from the new bosses. This ensures that even players with little luck can manage to optimize their build to the highest level within a season.
Is there a demand that is more important than the nerfs? Every player decides for themselves what is important to them, but one request that has been made since the release of Diablo 4 is the addition of new endgame content.
While the nightmare dungeons and whispering tree quests were still amusing at release, many players can no longer stand that type of engagement. They wish for variety and multiple activities where they can test their far too powerful builds to have fun.
If Blizzard were to implement new and lasting endgame content with future seasons, a large part of the community would likely be satisfied with Diablo 4.
What do you think about Season 2? Do you believe it is on the right path, or are you also dissatisfied with the fact that there are far too strong builds?
