Since the demo of Anthem, players have been thinking about what the finished game will be like. A major point that is often considered is the endgame. What does Anthem have to offer there? Well, Bioware says: Content is coming, and fast.
What does Anthem have to offer in the endgame? Some features are already known that will keep players occupied in Anthem once they are done with the story. These include, above all:
- especially difficult tasks, the Contracts
- Strongholds
Strongholds are the part that occupies the community the most. The Strongholds are the equivalent of dungeons and raids in Anthem from already established MMORPGs. They should provide challenges and loot for 4-player groups.
Strongholds are particularly interesting for players at higher difficulties of the Grandmaster level. In the harder levels, there are significantly higher chances of good loot.
The endgame content of Anthem – is there enough?
Players are concerned about the amount: With the endgame content of Anthem, players are primarily worried about whether there is enough to do and how long the content will keep them entertained. Grinding the same areas forever is certainly not the goal.
They are particularly concerned about whether the Strongholds offer enough variety and, above all, challenges. Currently, all Strongholds seem to have the same loot table. The same items drop everywhere.
As a consequence, players conclude: Whoever wants to farm will always run through the same Stronghold. The one that is the fastest and easiest to complete. Only if various loot pieces could be obtained in the Strongholds would there be relief.
BioWare confirms more content “as soon as possible”: Additionally, only three Strongholds have been confirmed for the launch of Anthem. At least here, BioWare wants to provide quick supplies.
In a kind of Q&A on Discord, BiowareBen responded to a player’s question about whether more Strongholds were planned. His response:
We want to bring more Strongholds into the game as soon as possible and continue to do so after that. Oh, and when we implement them, they will be free!
However, this still does not completely reassure the community. The user RogueMarauder on reddit notes that the answer sounds like it will be a while before more content is released and that the status of the beta is what will remain for the time being. Other players agreed and stated that the lack of variety could become a real problem.
