The new MMORPG Lord of Mysteries is already highly anticipated worldwide. For the first time, players were allowed to take a look inside and describe how good the MMORPG really is.
What kind of MMORPG is it? Lord of Mysteries is a new MMORPG based on Unreal Engine 5, derived from the extremely popular Chinese web novel of the same name by Cuttlefish That Loves Diving. The anime is also very popular.
Just like the story, the MMORPG offers a mix of steampunk and Lovecraftian horror à la Cthulhu mythos. What stands out is the unusual era in which the MMORPG is set. Instead of being set in the Middle Ages or a sci-fi world, Lord of Mysteries takes place in the Victorian era of the late 19th century.
Accordingly, gas lamps, steam engines, revolvers, and industrial cities shape the theme park. The game is supposed to spread a dark and mysterious atmosphere. However, the MMORPG also focuses on its own approaches in terms of content.

The first test reveals the dream for PvP players
What content does the MMORPG offer? Lord of Mysteries is still in development and has now invited players for the first time to try out the MMORPG. The Chinese magazine 17173 has anonymously surveyed some of those who have already played for several hundred hours.
According to the first testers, the launch of the MMORPG is supposed to unfold more like an ARPG. Here, the story is conveyed before the MMO aspects gradually open up towards the endgame.
The MMORPG is said to rely on the classic holy trinity system of tank, healer, and damage dealer. There are groups of six players for dungeons and raids with twelve players. The testers explain that there are easy dungeons for daily fun, while they compared the highest difficulty level to the nightmare mode from World of Jade Dynasty.
All dungeons should be able to be filled not only with real players but also with AI companions, so you don’t have to wait forever for full groups.
How does PvP look? The unexpected highlight of the game is said to be the PvP system. Lord of Mysteries offers a faction system to which individual guilds can join. These factions then conduct faction wars with up to 500 players simultaneously.
It gets even bigger during the battles for the cities. Here, thousands of players are supposed to be able to fight in the battles, although not all players are loaded at the same time to improve performance.
The endgame of Lord of Mysteries, according to current reports, will focus more on PvP rather than grinding, which makes the title especially interesting for fans of Throne and Liberty, New World, and Aion in the West. However, it is still unclear if and when Lord of Mysteries will be released in the West. Until then, there is still more PvP action in an MMORPG from Germany: MMORPG from Germany is known for PvP battles with severe consequences, is supposed to become even more action-packed
