A player experienced an embarrassing moment to forget while playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, playing as if he had two left hands. However, he is now celebrated in the community for just that. Thousands love his funny fail.
Anyone has probably experienced this: In some moments, everything just goes wrong in certain games. You hit nothing, act extremely dumb, and can’t get anything done at all.
This also happened recently to Modern Warfare player and Redditor justjoshinya89 in the multiplayer of the latest “Call of Duty” installment.
This is currently being celebrated by thousands of users on Reddit: This player made a really embarrassing fail, where one could be glad he could even walk straight.
But exactly for this moment he is currently celebrated on Reddit. Justjoshinya89 recorded the whole thing in a clip and posted it on the discussion platform with the title “This perfectly summarizes my Call of Duty skills” – much to the delight of numerous users. The post now boasts an impressive 29,000 upvotes.
What exactly happened? The player actually wanted to take out an enemy on the map St. Petrograd, who was in a building next to him.
Initially, justjoshinya89 tried to throw a sticky Semtex grenade through a door, but the explosive got stuck on the frame and almost cost the thrower his life. After narrowly escaping, he threw a flashbang, but he also “skillfully” threw it against a wall.
After the Redditor then escaped from the effect of his own flashbang, he desperately tried again with a second Semtex throw, but this one also did not make it through the door, instead getting stuck on a lamppost.
That was not all. When justjoshinya89 then hid from his latest mishap to avoid being blown up, an enemy simply took him out from behind with 2 shots.

What is so special about this clip? On one hand, such clips are comparatively rarely celebrated to this extent. Normally, clips like the sweet revenge on a cheater are more popular.
On the other hand, the community’s reaction is special. Normally, one would get virtually stoned for such embarrassing performances in Call of Duty and bombarded with disparaging flame or hate-mails.
But for this performance, there is massive support and sympathy; people love the clip. Many say they rarely or never laughed so much in Modern Warfare and that one can definitely identify with it. After all, everyone experiences such a moment where one would prefer to sink into the ground or hang up the controller forever.
