Waiting for the release of a new game can sometimes be quite annoying and exhausting. A Skyrim player has set himself a personal quest for this time.
Many players have been waiting for years for news and of course the release of The Elder Scrolls 6. In 2018, a 30-second trailer announced the new installment of the game series. Since then, fans have repeatedly had to wait for news. In March of this year, the developers stated that The Elder Scrolls 6 is now indeed playable.
So far, only the developers are playing it, and players have to continue to be patient and bridge the time until the release. The player Sidek has become particularly creative in this and has been killing a certain NPC daily since 2021.
Which NPC has to be taken down daily? The player has targeted the NPC Nazeem, a Redguard in Skyrim, for the past 2.7 years. He lives in Whiterun in Skyrim and likes to brag at the market stalls that he “earned” his position at the Jarl’s court “hard.”
Nazeem has become something of a running gag in the Elder Scrolls community due to his arrogant demeanor. Even his wife Ahlam seems to speak fairly disparagingly about him. When asked where he is, her response is that he is best found “in the Jarl’s backside.”
So, the NPC is not exactly popular with the players. And Sidek makes sure he feels that every day.
How does the player kill him? Once a day, Sidek kills the NPC and uploads the video to his YouTube channel. He likes to show creativity in his methods. With different weapons and spells, he has already disposed of Nazeem. Sometimes stealthily from behind, and sometimes he confronts the NPC face to face.
New milestone celebrated with a Battle Royale
This week, the player reached a significant milestone in his personal quest. He killed the NPC Nazeem for the 1,000th time. He celebrated this with a special event:
In his video for the 1,000th death of Nazeem, he shows how he lets several “Nazeems” fight against each other in a sort of Battle Royale until only one Nazeem remains. This one then leisurely leaves the battlefield in the video, leaving behind its lifeless duplicates.
Here you can watch the video of the Battle Royale yourself:
But as you might have guessed, the 1,000th death of Nazeem is not supposed to end this way. The player conjures a magical bow and takes out the last surviving Nazeem with a precise shot to the back.
Is the “quest” now over? For Sidek, the “quest” is still not over. The next day followed the video for the 1,001st death of Nazeem, and this will continue until the release of The Elder Scrolls 6. Another player is also bridging the wait in Skyrim: Player reaches the highest level in Skyrim 13 years after release by casting the same spell for 43 hours
