The Battlefield series is known for spectacular situations that arise naturally in battles. Now, more than 6,000 players are celebrating just such a moment from Battlefield 6.
What is this moment? A 14-second clip on Reddit shows a player from Battlefield 6 being launched into the air by a sideways tank. In the next moment, an enemy helicopter appears.
Quick-witted, the flying soldier switches to his rocket launcher, takes aim, and … hits. The heli explodes. “Double Kill” pops up on his interface. With his parachute, the player lands safely on a ridge.
“Absolute Cinema”
How is the scene received in the community? The over 6,000 upvotes and more than 120 comments within just 19 hours show how much fun many players are having with the short clip. One reason for this is that such spectacular moments only occur in this naturally arising form in the Battlefield series.
- ISSShadowl emphasizes this in his post on Reddit: “Definitely a ‘only in Battlefield’ moment.”
- Psychological_Mix_10 celebrates on Reddit: “Absolute Cinema.”
- NikaroTheSwift elaborates on his enthusiasm on Reddit: “Damn, I thought it was just the jump, then I see the helicopter and think: No way, he will hit it, right? Haha. That is awesome!”
Why is the player launched into the air? MelancholicVanilla has offered a possible explanation on Reddit:
“A bug known since launch that can launch you for no apparent reason… You can run, walk, crouch, lay down, and no matter where or who, you can be launched at any time. This usually happens when you try to sneak up or hide from enemy fire.“
That such moments can occur is also due to the engine, which allows you to destroy many objects in a Battlefield. Just before the launch of Battlefield 6 , the developers spoke about this great strength of the shooter series and why it can now shine again in its former glory after disappointing in Battlefield 2042: Battlefield 6 can only offer the great destruction that fans expect from a Battlefield thanks to “a magical trick”
