In the classic MMORPG Tibia, one of the richest players was permanently banned. He loses items worth over €11,500. However, one item may have been saved from deletion.
Who is involved? The player “Diegothais” was one of the richest players in the MMORPG Tibia. This person plays a druid at level 257 on the oldest server “Antica.” He owned the golden outfit, the golden helmet, the winged helmet, and many other rare items in the MMORPG.
But with the exception of a single item, the rare items are now lost, as the player was recently permanently banned.
Why was the player banned? There is currently a ban wave sweeping through the MMORPG Tibia. Various players are affected, regardless of how rich or high-leveled their characters are. You can track who has been affected on the website tibiatracker.com.
According to the Polish streamer and Tibia content creator “Strojny” (via Kick.com), many players are currently being banned due to script programs. These programs are said to have executed macros that automated certain abilities.
For example, these macros are said to have pressed the “F1” key every half a second. It is possible that the player “Diegothais” was banned for using such a program.
Persist Online is the new MMORPG from the developers of Tibia; here you can watch the trailer:
The last item is still there
What about the item? Just before the druid was banned, he listed one of the rarest items in the auction house. The winged helmet was put up by him shortly before the permanent ban for 12 billion gold, which is approximately €11,550.
The item, which is about as valuable as a luxury watch, is the winged helmet. This helmet is so rare because it was only available in the early days of Tibia, and even at that time, it was hard to obtain. The helmet appeared just once every few months in the lighthouse in Thais and then disappeared again. Today, it is no longer available at all.
Due to his ban, the druid officially lost the helmet and all other items, but another player could save the helmet from deletion.
How can the helmet be saved? The rare helmet is still for sale in the auction house even after the permanent ban from the game. If a player comes forward who is willing to pay the 12 billion gold, the winged helmet can be saved from deletion.
If the helmet is purchased, the gold will probably be deducted from the buyer, but the banned player will never see it, as characters of permanently banned players disappear from the game.
Also, the druid Diegothais is no longer searchable; the character seems to have already been deleted. So, it remains to be seen whether the item will be saved from deletion. However, the rest of the player’s items are likely already lost forever.
In other MMORPGs, players also spend thousands of euros to buy items. In Throne and Liberty, however, you can earn that much money in the game if you successfully complete the castle siege: In Throne and Liberty, the most powerful guilds will receive up to €25,000 this weekend, and you can prevent it
